Pinnacle distribution
During my time at Pinnacle Distribution, I managed well over 20 staff members from different departments. Under my guidance, the team had to achieve all performance related targets, individual sales target, and a strict branch target to contribute towards bottom-line profitability. Developing positive direct relationships with business partners, was a key part of my role – thus working hand in hand with resellers and end-users, articulating the company’s distinctive competence & the product’s uniqueness. While overseeing Sales Management, I ensured setting annual targets per rep – while managing this team. Additional account mapping formed part of my responsibilities, while continuously looking for opportunities for growth (SOW). Tasks on the distribution and operations front included strict admin and management, including monthly stock takes, Adhoc stock checks, managing delivery schedules, keeping an IBT paper trail, managing stock credit policies and conducting technical SLA updates. National Sales manager
As national sales manager, developing a sales strategy that understands and under pins the business in each region is key to achieving your National budget. This includes that all regional goals are met and that all tier one brands are included into the sales budget. Working closely with Vendors (OEM) and with the distribution channel to cement stock and price parameters. Upfront negotiation allowed the business to plan forward, offer national customers long and short-term contracts. Quarterly vendor reviews, this was on dollar revenue performance and tracking of market share profile. Dollar rebates enabled me to utilize additional funding for marketing campaigns, sales incentive, and aggressive tender pricing. Rebates allowed me to adjust in stock pricing to combat the volatile exchange rate. I ran weekly sales meetings, with a set agenda that included, regional feedback and validating pipeline potential, launching of new product and setting of product training. Product certifications was our glue to giving our customers the option of best in category. Weekly soft skill training empowered our sales teams to approach new customers and give our existing customers a seamless experience.
