Position : Assistant Audit Manager

Our client in the Helderberg region is seeking to employ an Assistant Audit Manager at their well-known firm in Somerset West.

They are an innovative and forward-thinking team of professionals, with a strong work ethic and a positive “can-do” attitude, enabling them to ultimately deliver service excellence.

The ideal candidate must be able to work independently, as part of a team, supervise others, must have Caseware experience and needs to have be a registered Chartered Accountant CA(SA).

Required profile for job ad : Assistant Audit Manager

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Relevant degree and post grad qualifications.
  • Registered CA (SA) or AGA (SA).
  • Technical proficiency in CaseWare, e-Filing and the Microsoft Office Suite
  • Computer literate - MS Excel and MS Word literacy required at advanced level.
  • Experience and good knowledge of IFRS, IFRS for SMEs, VAT, Income Tax and Companies Act.
  • Strong administration skills
  • Must be able to communicate directly with clients in a professional and confident manner
  • Provide technical assistance and training to staff members (where required).
  • Completion of accounting, audit and tax assignments.
  • Drafting reports to management
  • Responsible to ensure audit quality and risk management in the review process.
  • Audit assignment budget planning and management.
  • Monitoring and evaluation of performance in relation to budget.
  • Conduct full audit file reviews and related reports to ensure the relevant files are ready for sign off.
  • Provide technical assistance to staff members (where required).
  • Maintain excellent client relationships.
